Crowns

When a tooth gets to the stage where it cannot be effectively repaired with a filling it is often necessary to think about a crown. We have models in the practice to help patients understand what a crown is like.

We provide lots of crowns on the NHS. These are effective restorations and should fit well and last a long time. However NHS crowns are made using relatively old fashioned techniques and materials and are not the highest quality restorations available.

Advances in Digital Dentistry allow us to provide beautiful, extremely natural looking crowns that are milled from high tech ceramic materials. Many patients are now choosing to have crownwork done privately so that they can enjoy the benefits of these restorations.

Bridges

Many people with missing teeth are keen to have the space or spaces filled.

Often in these situations there are a number of options to fill the space including dentures or implants. Bridges can be an effective way of filling a space.

A bridge is basically a false tooth which is attached to an adjacent tooth or teeth.
